Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Engineer Trainee – Instrumentation with 1–2 years of experience to join our engineering team in Nelamangala, Bangalore. The candidate will be involved in instrumentation design, detailed engineering, testing, and site support activities across project lifecycles.
Key Responsibilities
1. Engineering & Design
- Understand and interpret P&ID and plant layout drawings.
- Read and analyze URS / project specifications and prepare project deliverables accordingly.
- Design, selection, and detailed engineering of field instruments including:
- Temperature
- Pressure
- Flow
- Level
- pH
- DO (Dissolved Oxygen)
- Conductivity
- Preparation of detailed Bill of Materials (BOM) for instruments with complete specifications.
2. Vendor Coordination
- Send enquiries to vendors for bought-out items.
- Review vendor quotations against technical and commercial requirements.
3. Installation, Testing & Commissioning
- Calibration of field instruments.
- Perform loop checking activities.
- Support panel integration and testing.
- Participate in Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT).
4. Site & Service Support
- Willingness to travel to project sites for:
- Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)
- Commissioning activities
- Service and support requirements
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of instrumentation fundamentals
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Knowledge of calibration and loop checking procedures
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Willingness to learn and work in a project-driven environment
- Flexibility to travel to project locations as required
