Graduate Engineer Trainee / Junior Production Engineer (Mechanical)

Job Description:

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Mechanical Engineering graduates to join our Production team. The selected candidate will support vessel fabrication and component manufacturing activities, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and ensure smooth execution of projects while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in project planning and execution based on project specifications.
• Review engineering drawings and coordinate with the Design team for fabrication requirements.
• Prepare Bills of Materials (BOM), steel nesting drawings, and material indents.
• Coordinate with Stores, Purchase, PPC, and Quality teams for material availability and production activities.
• Support production planning by preparing daily manpower and material requirements.
• Monitor shop-floor activities to ensure smooth production flow, quality, and safety compliance.
• Assist in Pre-FAT and Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) preparation and coordination.
• Supervise fabrication, assembly, welding, and installation activities as required.
• Participate in inspections, hydrostatic tests, pneumatic tests, and quality checks.
• Maintain project documentation, production records, and progress reports.
• Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to ensure timely execution.
• Identify production issues and support troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards.

Desired Skills:

• Basic knowledge of fabrication processes, pressure vessels, and mechanical manufacturing.
• Familiarity with engineering drawings and BOM preparation.
• Understanding of standards such as ASME, ASME BPE, ANSI, API, and ASTM is an added advantage.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or other engineering software is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to learn and work in a manufacturing environment.
