Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Automation Engineer with 4 years of hands-on experience in industrial automation and control systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, development, programming, and implementation of automation systems for various industrial applications.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex automation projects involving PLC, SCADA, and DCS systems, ensuring efficient, reliable, and high-quality system performance in compliance with industrial standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and verify Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) for accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
- Prepare detailed Bills of Materials (BOM) for automation and control systems.
- Develop Functional Design Specifications (FDS) and System Design Specifications (SDS) documentation.
- Prepare I/O lists and manage configuration in accordance with project requirements.
- Perform wiring, verification, and loop checks for PLC control panels to ensure installation integrity.
- Program PLCs using Step-7 and TIA Portal for process automation and control.
- Design and develop SCADA systems using Zenon and WinCC, including HMI graphics, alarms, and data acquisition.
- Configure and develop Distributed Control Systems (DCS) using PCS7 (v9.0 and above).
- Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) to validate system functionality.
- Provide on-site installation, testing, commissioning, and technical support as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering (EIE), Electronics & Communication (ECE), Electrical & Electronics (EEE), Computer Science (CSE), or related field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in industrial automation and control systems.
- Strong proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens Step-7, TIA Portal).
- Hands-on experience in SCADA development (Zenon, WinCC).
- Working knowledge of DCS configuration and development (PCS7 v9.0+).
- Solid understanding of industrial communication protocols, I/O systems, and automation standards.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to travel for on-site commissioning and project support.
